The Great Uprisings were a dark and dangerous time throughout the Five Provinces. To insure the events of those terrible years are never repeated, the first High Laird–Mannis Soranna–declared that all knowledge of the Uprisings be expunged from the history books. It is forbidden to discuss the Uprisings or to seek information on what happened.
